The beginning of March I went to Washington, DC for 5 days. I went for HRC's annual spring meeting. Every March steering committees from across the country come together for a day of lobbying Congress, then for Board meetings and training tracks.
The first picture is of the capitol building after our lobby day. We had a reception in the capitol with members of Congress, after a long day of working 'on the hill.'
I travelled with Kathy, and meet Linda & Carolyn on Thursday to lobby the Arizona Congressional delegation. We had a great time and met with all but two members.
Then Friday and Saturday we had training tracks - I attended the 'Gala Dinner Training' - as I am going to be the dinner Co-Chair for the Arizona dinner for the next two years. I am really excited, but it is going to be a lot of work!
Friday morning I had some time to go see some of the monuments. The Lincoln Monument is so impressive! The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial we so moving! I found myself in tears as I walked up to it. It was so incredible to see all of the names of all of those lives lost. I could get very political right here, but I won't.. Maybe I will save that for another posting. Here are some pictures I took...
Well there is a little info from the Washington trip. I love being in DC - if it weren't so cold I could see myself living there.

Hi Nathan, I hope you remember me....I'm a friend of Celeste's. Remember the good 'ole Park City days? Anyway, I just wanted to say HI, and tell you that I love your DC pics. We were just there one year ago; got a tour of the White House and even got to meet ole "Bush-whacker"!
By the way, I voted twice for Hillary on your poll. Is that cheating? Then again, I do live in Florida now and we Floridians ARE known to screw up elections one way or another.
